About RIACA

Established in 2013, the Rhode Island Association of Chinese Americans (RIACA) scholarship is committed to supporting Chinese American high school seniors in Rhode Island and helping them achieve their academic dreams.


Our main objectives include:

  • Promote academic excellence
  • Promote understanding of Chinese culture and heritage
  • Encourage youth to learn the Chinese language and culture
  • Encourage participation in community and public service

2026 RIACA SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility

  • High school senior students who belong to the Chinese ethnic groups and students with  Chinese heritage
  • Reside in Rhode Island or Bristol County of Massachusetts 
  • At the time of application, applicant must be US citizen or permanent resident

How to apply

  • Download application form below and submit form and application materials to scholarship@RIACA.us. All application materials must be in a single PDF file
  • Intreasted students must also attend a mandatory interview at 333 Roosevelt Ave., Pawtucket, RI in April 2026

Application materials

  • 2026 RIACA Scholarship Application Form (Download below) 
  • Submit an essay of 300-500 words describing your career objectives and how the award of the RIACA Scholarship would help you attain them 
  • One letter of recommendation 
  • Endorsement from a member of RIACA 
  • Official academic transcript, SAT/ACT score report 

Application deadline

March 15th, 2026

Award amount

We will award the top 5 outstanding students with a scholarship of $2000 each

April 19th, 2026

Selected finals will be invited for an in-person interview. Each applicant will have an oppourtunity to give a 3 minutes presentation about his/her accomplishments on academic activity, leadership and community service.
